Description

The K9DP 2 meter (144MHz-148MHz) bandpass filter is designed to help radios and receivers that struggle with front-end overload from strong near by transmitters and out of band interference. The filter is ultra portable and lightweight, ideal for use with Summits on the Air (SOTA). It measures only 3.33 inches (85mm) in length and weighs just 39 grams with connectors. The filter uses hand wound air coils with high quality C0G (NP0) capacitors for low ~1.5dB insertion loss. It has been tested up to 10 watts with FM and SSB.

I used the BPF up at a SOTA site with a significant cell/microwave/comms site and it did great. I had a contact with a guy about 15 miles away and his signal was very strong, full-quieting and S+20 or more. Also I pushed it a bit more than 10 watts and didn’t seem to fry it.
